Mystical Wildlife adds many imaginary animals to Minecraft and makes the wildlife a bit more varied and interesting, especially from biome to biome.
These range from oversized beetles to big furry lizards, with unique models and sounds. Each of them spawn in different biome types, making each biome feel a little bit more unique.
Currently, all animals can be bred like farm animals and drop meat when killed. Some of them can even be brushed using a new tool (the Brush) to get some bonus resources.
Cicapteras are insect-like winged creatures, capable of making great leaps. Most of them feed off seeds and are completely harmless. They make chirping sounds and drop raw Cicapteras and husks. Their husks are an excellent source of various dyes.
Lovely Cicapteras spawn in flowery biomes (Sunflower Plains and Flower Forests) or magical ones. Their husks can be used to make pink dye, but if they are kept alive they can produce Aphrodite Essence. Aphrodite Essence can be used on any animal to make it instantly fall in love. The can be bred with sugar.
Azure Cicapteras spawn in plains and their husks can be used to make blue dye. They can be bred with any vanilla seeds.
Verdant Cicapteras spawn in forests and their husks can be used to make green dye. They can be bred with apples.
Crimson Cicapteras spawn in hot biomes and their husks can be used to make red dye. Unlike other cicapteras they will fight back if threatened, ramming their attacker at great speed. They can be bred with cactus.
Sandy Cicapteras spawn in deserts and their husks can be used to make yellow dye. They can be bred with cactus.
Wintry Cicapteras spawn in snowy biomes and their husks can be used to make white dye. They can be bred with any vanilla seeds.
Krills are crustaceans that spawn in beaches. They drop raw krill and they will occasionally forage sandy blocks they’re standing on. Most of the time they will find sticks or flint, but sometimes they can get lucky and hit some much more precious materials. They can be bred with any vanilla seeds.
Plumpers are fat seal-like animals that spawn in beaches. They drop raw plumper and plumper blubber which can be used as a weak fuel source, or used as a substitute for Tallow which is from the Quark mod. They can be bred with any fish (raw or cooked).
Furzards are big, furry lizards. Their behavior can vary wildly but they are all carnivorous, shed fur when brushed and only breed at certain times. Their meat is usually highly nutritious.
Vrontausaurus are the biggest furzards. They spawn in mountains and can generate static electricity with their fur, which can shock you if you’re brushing one. Don’t attack them, as they will fight back and they bite a lot. They drop raw Vrontausaurus, Vrontausaurus fur tufts and Vrontausaurus fur. 9 Vrontausaurus tufts can be used to make 1 Vrontausaurus fur. Vrontausaurus fur can be used to make one leather. They can be bred with pork, beef or mutton (raw or cooked) while it’s raining.
Dusk Lurkers are smaller and shier furzards that spawn in forests. They don’t like being approached without food but will stare at nearby players with their glowing eyes. They drop raw Dusk Lurker, Dusk Lurker fur tufts and Dusk Lurker fur. 9 Dusk Lurker tufts can be used to make 1 Dusk Lurker fur. Dusk Lurker fur can be used to make one leather. Their fur makes a thick, black dust that can be brushed off, making them a good source of black dye. They can be bred with rabbit or cicaptera (raw or cooked) during the night.
Yaga hogs are a rare breed of pigs that spawn in swamps. They will emit a cloud of poison when struck as a mean of defense, so try to kill them from a distance. They drop raw Yaga Hog upon death. The dirt on their back can be brushed off. They can be bred with bread.
